 Located in Conroe, Texas, Southern Star Brewing Company provides canned craft beers to enjoy from our 10,000 square foot warehouse.
Production began in March of 2008 with our signature beer of Pine Belt Pale Ale which is distributed in 16 ounce cans(or kegs). This has expanded to now include our Bombshell Blonde(an American Blonde ale style) and our Buried Hatchet Stout(Strong American Stout style) which are both packaged in 12 ounce cans along with kegs. We also began to release our seasonal beers in cans as well.
One exciting offering we started in 2009 is our annual Pro-AM Competition. Home brewers submit their favorite homebrew where the winning entry will then be up scaled to be brewed on our system. THe next Pro-am Competition entries are due on May 8th 2012. Enter to win a chance to brew your homebrew on our 15 bbl system and have your beer canned and sold in stores! Currently our beers are distributed throughout the larger cities in Texas including Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and College Station. However, we have now expanded our distribution outside of Texas including Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and South Carolina. Keep an eye out for us in some of your favorite pubs or beverage stores.
We hold tours every Saturday at 1pm(unless stated otherwise). The tours are FREE however there are T-shirts and mugs for sale, along with food for sale by Local catering companies. Check our facebook page for more details.

Tours & Tastings at the Brewery
Tours are Saturdays from 1pm-3pm.
May 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
NOTE: Because we are headlining Brew-B-Que we will not be able to hold a tour on May 26th.
NOTE: There isn't any climate control within the brewery, so it can get very cold in the winter(and hot in the summer) so dress accordingly.
As always, the Tours and Tastings are FREE with NO RESERVATIONS required, and is open to all ages with adult supervision. We do however have some merchandise for sale(T-shirts, glasses, etc.).

No Tour Saturday May 26th!
Southern Star Brewing Company is headlining Brew-B-Que a two day(Saturday May 26th and Sunday May 27th) event in Conroe, Texas. We are very excited to be featured part of such a large event(expecting 10,000 people). However, since we will be busy helping out at this event(and enjoying some fine BBQ, Music and beer) we won't be able to hold the tour on Saturday May 26th. We are sorry for any inconvenience. But please feel free to come join us!

Southern Star Goes Green
We have made contact with a new business in town (Let’s Recycle LLC 503 N 1st street Conroe, TX 77301 713-298-0385) that will finally allow us to recycle almost 100% of the waste generated at the brewery. We are excited about working with an EPA certified, local company and look forward to a long partnership that benefits both of our companies and the environment at the same time. This move ties in perfectly with our corporate model of working with local companies and manufacturing in a sustainable manner.
